Trikes are 3 wheeled motorcycles that have either 2 wheels in the front or more often, 2 wheels in the back.  They are good for older individuals or others who feel uncomfortable or unsafe balancing on a traditional 2 wheeled motorcycle.  No matter what kind of trike you buy you want to make sure you get adequate trike insurance for your vehicle.  Not all carriers provide this type of insurance so you will have to shop around a bit.  When you do, make sure you get plenty of uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage to protect you from today’s low minimum insurane coverages and today’s high medical bills.
