One of the girls who had worked for me when I was a nursing manager never felt comfortable in her role as Registered Nurse. I saw her a while ago, and she looked so much happier and comfortable, I had to ask her what caused the change. She told me that she had decided to become a certified surgical technologist, and just loved it. Since she had the prerequisites, the class time was reduced considerably, and she loved the choices of fields available. She said that she had chosen to become a neurosurgery tech, since she had always been interested in that area when we had worked together. She also mentioned that that fied was one of the highest paid. Good for her!
