Sleep has always puzzled me. Why do we need to sleep? You would think that evolution would dictate that the more successful animals or people were the ones that were active every hour of the day. It is odd that we need to close our eyes for a third of each day but clearly we do need to.

So if it is so natural that we sleep every day why should we sometimes have problems sleeping.  It is not usually because we are not tired but more likely because our minds are buzzing with activity and won’t allow us to slow down and relax.

This is why many sleep remedies focus on helping you to relax through hypnotism, a relaxing routine before you go to bed or soft relaxing music.
