Some friends and are are planning to go back packing in Spain during our summer break. We are each taking care of the arrangements for one of the cities we wish to visit, and I am dealing with Barcelona. I have been looking through the options for hotels in Barcelona, and I think I have found a place that will work for us. The Sun & Moon Hostal Barcelona will be inexpensive enough for us, and offers free safety boxes for us to store our luggage while we are sight seeing. They also have air conditioning and provide breakfast. I think it is even relatively near Las Ramblas.
