The iTouch is really not the best device when all you want to do is talk on the phone. However ,it is built pretty much like an iPhone 3G except without the phone portion of the device. When you jailbreak it, you use the same software. Many iPhone 3g Accessories can also be used on the iPod Touch 2G. Since Apple decided to change the pin settings on the iPod Touch 2G and the iPhone 3G, some previous generation accessories will not work for the iPod Touch 2G. This presents quite a problem for the iPod Touch since it is not backwards compatible.
